Matthew Arkin
Matthew Arkin has appeared on Broadway in The Sunshine Boys, with Jack Klugman and Tony Randall, Losing Louie and Laughter on the 23rd Floor (also national tour). Off-Broadway he received a Drama Desk Nomination when he originated the role of Gabe in Donald Margulies’ Pulitzer Prize winning Dinner with Friends, for which he was also a Drama League Honoree. Other Off-Broadway credits include originating roles in Moonlight and Magnolias at Manhattan Theatre Club, Rounding Third, A. R. Gurney's Indian Blood at Primary Stages, You Should Be So Lucky with Charles Busch, and Barbara Dana’s War in Paramus, directed by Austin Pendleton. He has worked extensively in regional theater, most recently performing in the world premiere of Richard Greenberg’s Our Mother’s Brief Affair at South Coast Rep, and Surf Report at The La Jolla Playhouse. Films include indies Second Best, Raising Flagg, The Curse, and Bittersweet Place, as well as Death to Smoochy, Liar, Liar, North, and An Unmarried Woman. Television appearances include recurring roles on Rescue Me, 100 Centre Street, Third Watch and All My Children, and guest spots on Medium, Law and Order, the PBS pilot Copshop, Law and Order: SVU, Law and Order: Criminal Intent, Hack, The Education of Max Bickford, Ed, The Street, Simple Justice for PBS, Kojak, and The Defection of Simas Kudirka.
Matthew has taught Technique and Scene Study at New York's world renowned HB Studio. He studied technique, scene study and Shakespeare with Uta Hagen, and studied as well with Austin Pendleton and Sheldon Patinkin. He has performed hundreds of radio spots and television commercial voiceovers.

Melissa Kite
Associate instructor Melissa Kite brings her experience in body and sensory work to the class, born in her years with the Houston Ballet. Her work in this are continues to be sharpened as a Lifetime Member of The Actor's Studio, and is further developed in her ongoing practice of meditation and dance. She has worked with Catherine Fitzmaurice for voice/body work and with Michelle Danner at the Larry Moss Studio, among others. For more information on Melissa, please visit her website.
